What Are Salami Roses?
Salami roses are made with pieces of salami that are made into the shape of a rose usually by using a wine glass.
They’re a simple idea that can be made in just a few easy steps but are a great way to dress up a cheese board!
Salami Rose Meat Options
When it comes to making meat roses, you’re not just limited to Salami slices.
You can use pretty much any sandwich meat you like including
- Roast Beef
I like to use a variety of meat flowers, pepperoni roses being a must-have, to compliment my favorite cheeses.
All you need to ensure is that the meats are sliced thinly and are circular.
If your meat slices aren’t circular already you can use a circle cookie cutter to make them round.

We’ve tried to cover everything we can think of that you might want to know about salami roses but if there’s anything we’ve missed that you want to know then be sure to let us know in the comment section below.
How To Ensure Your Rose Keeps Its Shape
Folding salami over the rim of a wine glass is very easy and usually, the salami effortlessly holds its shape.
However, should your rose keep losing its shape then a good tip is to wrap the rose with cling film or saran wrap while it’s still on the glass and put it into the fridge for ten minutes.
How To Make A Salami Rose Without A Glass
A wine glass is not necessary to make a salami rose. You can use any type of jar or jug with a fairly small round opening.
Alternatively, cut your salami into thin slices. Then, roll each slice up into a tight spiral. Finally, place the rose on a plate and serve!
How Do You Shape Salami?
For best results shape salami while it is cold. To shape salami for meat roses, simply fold the salami over the rim of the glass and apply gentle pressure to help it keep its shape.
How Do You Change The Size of The Rose?
The size of the rose will depend on the size of the wine glass used. For smaller roses use a smaller glass and for larger roses use a larger rimmed glass.
Additionally, the more slices of salami you use the fuller your rose will be.
Where Can I Serve A Salami Rose?

- Mother’s day
